Campaign furniture was to enable officers during wars to have 'home comforts' while in the battle field.
Often carried across rough terrain for hundreds of miles.
Placed in their private quarters/tents during war manoeuvres to make war an more comfortable place to be.
Often these were broken and damaged
This one hase definitely seen some use over it's almost 200 year life.
Constructed from mahogany and aged patina, giving this unit a honey coloured hue.
Many historic scuff, knocks and some chips to the sides where it would join together.
