Adult full size lay figure circa 1850
An exceptionally rare lay figure or artist mannequin. Constructed from mostly beech wood, suspect also some sycamore. With iron joints and brass articulated fingers and nuckles. Manufactured in Franc approx. 1850e , purported to be one of only two made. Found in the early 20th century and restored, filling some old woodworm holes. Giving an amazing patina across the artists model. Dimensions: 185 cm tall 52cm wide. Comes with a stand (original to the layfigure model) allow him to stand in a corner.
